At Teena Hicks Company Menswear OKC, our story began with hard work, skill, and a clear vision. Teena Hicks started the business on her own, building it step by step in downtown Oklahoma City. Her son, James Hicks, joined her at age 19 in January 1995, helping grow the company into what it is today.
A Story Rooted in Hard Work
Our journey started with simple beginnings. Teena learned how to sew at age six, making her own clothes while growing up on a farm in Grady County. Life was hands-on and full of responsibility, from caring for animals to helping raise her younger siblings.
That early discipline shaped the way we work today. We value effort, care, and attention to detail in everything we do.
From Small Beginnings to A Strong Foundation
Teena first worked out of the First National Building, starting on the 14th floor and later moving to the first floor. She even traveled to clients’ offices to offer fittings, showing her dedication to meeting clients where they were. Over time, we built a space where clients could come to us for a better, more complete experience.

Our background in tailoring and fashion gives us a strong foundation. Teena worked as a tailor while in college, learning the craft that still guides our work today. She studied business to better understand how to serve clients and build something lasting.
